RUCISO Kenya recognizes the importance of good maternal and child health. We also realize that reproductive health needs of the youth are left out in the mainstream reproductive health services. We educate people to make use of their basic rights and responsibility to freedom of choice for family planning, sexual and reproductive health. In Kahawa Soweto Slums in Nairobi, we have been working with a group of Community Health Workers who undertake community outreaches on maternal child health, HIV/AIDS, STIs/STDS. In Embu, RUCISO has a group of Community Distributors of Contraceptives that we intend to work with to reach out to women on maternal and child health. On cervical and breast cancer, we encourage women to have regular screening for early diagnosis and treatment.
